Police Investigate Aggravated Robbery At Kawerau Vape Store

Investigations are underway into an aggravated burglary at a Kawerau vape store on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the Onslow Street store around 3:30pm after multiple offenders entered the store.

"An offender has gone in with a wooden club and struck the shop attendant," Acting Senior Sergeant Shane Tailby said.

Tailby said more offenders entered the store, jumped the counter and stole a number of vapes before leaving the shop.

The victim was injured but did not require ambulance support, Police said.
