One person has been arrested over the death of Kawerau man Stuart Stobie.
Stobie died in Minginui last Friday, in what Police described as a hunting incident.
A 46-year-old man is due to appear in the Rotorua District Court today, charged with manslaughter.
The man has also been charged with unlawful hunting and unlawful possession of a firearm, Police said.
Stobie's death has been referred to the Coroner.

Family and friends have posted tributes on social media following his death.
His daughter Briar described Stobie as a hunter, fisherman, dad and Poppa Stu.
Stobie’s partner Kerry Swinton remembered his kindness and intelligence and said Stobie “uplifted me, gave me the strength to move forward.”
Stobie was also a member of the Kawerau Bowling Club - the club wore black armbands as a mark of respect during a match against Te Teko RSA on Saturday.
