The Police investigation continues into the death of Kawerau woman Korrey Whyman.
Whyman was shot in Mourea, near Rotorua last Sunday morning.
The 28-year-old was transported to Waikato Hospital with critical injuries, but died last Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Lindsay Pilbrow says, they're interested to hear from those driving on State Highway 33 between Rotorua Airport and Mourea, around 2am last Sunday.
Pilbrow says, they're working to identify those involved and are working through a number of lines of enquiry.
He says, they're canvassing the area for CCTV and carrying out area enquiries.
He also says, Whyman’s family were distraught and devastated by her death and their thoughts continue to be with them at this difficult time.
A Givealittle page has been set up by a friend of Whyman’s eldest sister – to help her fly home from Australia for a farewell.
