Eastern Bay farmers are praying for a few more days of sunshine to dry out waterlogged pastures.
Heavy rain over recent weeks and over the weekend has left many paddocks around the region under water.
Federated Farmers Bay of Plenty President Alan Law says there's been little growth and a few days of sunny weather are needed.
He says they'll be looking forward to a kind spring as it's been a difficult autumn and winter which came early.
Mr Law says the challenge is to minimise damage to pastures following all the rain.
