Bunnings Warehouse Whakatane are holding a Community Fun Day, this Saturday, 13th March 2010 from 10-2pm at the Hub, Whakatane.A Community Fun Day is designed to acknowledge the contribution of local groups within the community. It creates an occasion to congratulate the outstanding effort that occurs every day in the local schools, kindergartens, support groups, charities & sporting bodies. If you are a part of a community group you are invited to hold demonstrations, displays & conduct activities in store or in the carpark.

Pohutukawa Day Programme is a service that offers senior citizens in the community to maintain their independence. They are looking for two more volunteers to donate their time once a week to the centre, and also people that would be willing to drive the centres van once a month, their help would be greatly appreciated.
